Whoever thought rock and roll was dead should think again.
Rock and Roll is alive and kicking and Stop Stop has come to the UK to prove it.
Founded in Barcelona by eclectic bassist/singer Jacob A.M, Stop Stop has changed a few line-ups and played in many clubs and bars before taking the UK by storm and show what rock and roll is all about.
With a CD out, Unlimited, and a new one soon on the way, Jacob, solid guitarist Vega and expert drummer Danny, are touring the UK and enjoying the vibrant and frenzy English rock scene, giving thunderous performances that everyone who has attended won’t forget very easily.
At the metal pub Intrepid Fox in London Stop Stop has been as entertaining as ever and delivered a highly intense and fun performance. Playing tracks from their own CD as well as kick-ass covers rearranged in a hard-glam-rock way (Deep Purple’s Hush, The Stones’ Sympathy for the Devil, The Beatles’ Get Back among others) Stop Stop made no rookie mistakes and showed they well deserve bigger stages.
Jacob A.M. looked like he was born to rock – just to quote one of their songs – interacting with the public with savoir faire and never letting it go for not even one second. His talent as bass player and lead singer is admirable, and while his bass lines were always on the spot, his voice never let him down, showing a remarkable range and intensity. Vega played as solid as ever, and being the only guitarist now gives him total control over the killer riffs and power solos. Danny never missed a beat and was the real rhythmic spine of the band, always giving the right pace to the songs and showing the usual easiness behind the drums.
The chemistry between the three guys was on fire and the little time on stage did leave wanting for more. Stop Stop is going to be touring all over England and Wales, and if you happen to be around do not miss one of their shows.
“Rock and roll ain’t noise pollution” and STOP STOP will make you rock like you never have before. With electrifying performances and over-the-top skills, they could easily be an arena band. Keep an eye on them.
