OBEY is a social drama. A politically driven film that highlights the tough plight and frustrations of young aldults growing up in London. You won’t aspect these things to happen in London, unfortunattely it does. The sad story is hard, but it’s reality.

In the film you’ll see the story of a guy named Leon (Marcus Rutherford). The nineteen-year old boy doesn’t live a simple life with an alcoholic mother and her aggresive boyfriend.  When he’s finally free from adult supervision, Leon begins to rail against the injustice. His dreams about living a ‘normal’ live become more and more unattainable and distant.

Finally free from adult supervision, Leon begins to rail against the injustice of his reality as his dreams become more and more unattainable and distant. Oppressed at home and hunted on the streets by local gangs, doesn’t make it any easier for Leon. He meets Twiggy (Sophie Kennedy Clark), a beautfil blond girl living in a local squat. As she introduces him to her world, the weight of his past lifts. He is in love, something he never felt before. For a moment he excapes reality, and he’s happy. Naïve as he is, Leon was shocked when Twiggy says she no longer wants him around. Leon is heartbroken and let his emotions take the overtone. He ends up in a blind fight against his unjust existence with terrifying and brutal consequences…

Jamie Jones is very proud of the film he made, and is very exited for the world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival on the 22nd of April 2018!
