Incredibles 2: ”The most anticipated film of the year”

MCM Comin Con revealed that out of the upcoming films in 2018, fans were most excited in seeing the animated superhero film, Incredibles 2! The Incredibles who was released in 2004 was already a big success, a funny movie about a family with different superpowers. So for Incredibles 2, everybody has got high expectations!
Incredibles 2 is produced by Pixar Animation Studios for Walt Disney Pictures. Both of the movies (The Incredibles and Incredibles 2) are written and directed by Brad Bird. The plot follows the Parr family as they attempt to put superheroes back in the spotlight while dealing with normal life. Several of the original actors return to reprise their roles, including Craig T. Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell and Samuel L. Jackson.
The movie is a sequel of The Incredibles, but this time it’s more focused on the family. Helen is leaving Bob at home with Violet and Dash to go back to their ‘normal’ life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, and it get’s even harder by the fact that they are not aware of the superpowers of baby Jack-Jack yet. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again–which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
Furthermore, the survey shows interesting results. The Incredibles 2 beat Marvel’s upcoming Ant-Man and the Wasp. When it came to Television, fans were most excited about Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan, which will be released in August. The series, starring A Quiet Place’s star and director, John Krasinski was voted ‘Most Anticipated TV Series’ with 15% of the vote, narrowly beating Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger (13%) and Castle Rock (5%).
When it came to entertainment viewing preferences, fans were most excited about Subscription Streaming Platforms such as Netflix and Amazon Prime. It took 53% of the audience, compared to TV On Demand on 27% and Live TV, which has slumped to 14%. When comparing the Streaming Platforms themselves, it’s unsurprising to see that Netflix took their lion’s share of the audience, taking 73%, compared to Amazon’s 13% and Now TV’s 4%.
Incredibles 2‘s world premiere took place in Los Angeles on June 5, 2018, and will be released in UK cinema’s on 13th of July in 3D an IMAX!
