The Gold Movie Awards announces their 2019 Jury
The Gold Movie Awards take place on the 10th of January which will kick off the awards season, celebrating best independent films for the 2nd Year. What could be a better location, than non-other the Regent Street Cinema in London’s West End – a birthplace of British Cinema.
Created by Italian director Marco Recalchi, Irish actor and producer Jason Matthewson, and Antony Reolon in partnership with The Old Film Farm, Ikon Films and Skyup Academy, the GMA exhibits the best in upcoming and seasoned filmmakers giving them a platform to showcase their work and be awarded in a professional setting. Last Year film Silent Child has won the Best of the Year at the 2018 Gold Movie Awards. The same movie won an Oscar at the 90th Academy Awards for Live Action Short. The team behind GMA has expressed how proud they are for the movie Silent Child and their win.
This year’s jury will conclude of Karen Bryson MBE, Kacey Ainsworth, Chizzy Akudolu, Kevin Guthrie, Elliot Cowan, Iain Glen, Victoria Yeates, Josh Herdman, Ben Lamb, Laura Main, Tamzin Merchant, Christina Cole, and Charlotte Ritchie.The jury members will help judge the contenders and this year the awards will include: Best Short, Best Feature, Best Feature no budget, Best Featurette, Best Documentary, Best Music Video, Best Experimental, Best Series (web, cinema or television), Best Animation, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Actor/Actress under 18, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Special Effects, Best Editing, Best Cinematography, Best Scenography, Best Producer and Best trailer. Celebrity Jury will have some work to do, as there are plenty of categories and movies fighting for the award.
